Here in South Africa, the 9th of August is National Womens Day. Accordingly, it is very appropriate, that it should also be known as International Lioness Day.

Each lioness have a very important role to play within each pride. As part of the pride, their role is critical. Lionesses are the core members of, and the primary hunters for each pride of lions.
